How to properly clean the cushions of chairs and stools
When purchasing chairs or stools, it’s important to buy from reliable sellers to ensure quality, warranty, and return options. To extend the lifespan of furniture, beyond the quality of materials, it’s essential to consider daily wear, proper usage, and appropriate maintenance.
Cleaning should be done carefully, using products suitable for different materials (wood, metal, steel, polycarbonate). For upholstered fabric chairs, natural remedies like salt, vinegar, lemon, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide are effective, while avoiding drying in direct sunlight.
Delicate fabrics, such as damask, require gentle cleaning with specific tools and no harsh chemicals.
Kitchen chair cushions, whether removable or not, should be cleaned regularly by hand or machine, following the label’s instructions to avoid damage. Non-removable cushions can be machine-washed gently at temperatures not exceeding 40°C.
Finally, regular cleaning and maintenance help prevent damage, preserving both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the furniture.
