Guide to choosing the ideal stool for the kitchen.

High stools are pieces of furniture that combine aesthetics and functionality, offering both visual enhancement and practicality. Choosing the right stool height is crucial to match the dimensions of the table or snack bar, with different options for kitchens, bars, or customized spaces. The ideal measurements include:

  • 65/66 cm for kitchens with countertops of 90/92 cm,
  • 75/76 cm for bar tables or counters 110/112 cm high,
  • 80/85 cm for taller countertops (120/125 cm).

Other considerations include the distance between stools (16-30 cm), stool positioning from the work surface (at least 35 cm), and ensuring adequate space for stools with armrests. For comfort, it is recommended to choose stools with backs and footrests, preferring fixed 4-leg stools for greater stability. Adjustable stools offer versatility, but with less stability.

For materials, wood is traditional and versatile, while metal, with modern finishes such as corten or chrome, fits well in contemporary settings. Stools in polycarbonate and polypropylene, super colorful and transparent, are ideal for modern and informal kitchens.
